This week we publish that DOLMEN would arrive with the three image rescaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS2 y AMD FSR2 and Intel’s XeSS, this May 20 with the launch of the game. But today Intel itself has released a statement, indicating that XeSS technology will not be available until winter, that is, the end of June.
This notice comes after it was assumed that the technology would be available from the game’s launch, but the game will launch without the technology, which will be integrated later through an update in the winter.

After Intel’s notice, the Dolmen company without any explanation, has retracted his previous statements, saying that Intel XeSS will not be added to the game at launch.
Admittedly, it was a bit of a surprise to say that XeSS could launch this week, considering Arc GPUs are nowhere to be found. and the release of desktop GPUs has been changed to only OEMs in China.
Intel XeSS is an AI-based enhancement technology that is expected to compete with NVIDIA DLSS2 and AMD FSR2 once it becomes available. Like AMD, Intel chose to open source its technology, but despite releasing a developer SDK last year, no code has been made public so far.
