MOSCOW, 20 Sep — PRIME. The Latvian government has decided that the temperature in residential premises should not exceed +19°C, the press service of the Latvian Cabinet reported.
In Germany, advocated the withdrawal of nuclear power plants from the reserve in connection with the energy crisis
“In order to reduce the consumption of energy resources for heating residential premises, the government at a meeting on September 20 decided to temporarily reduce the air temperature in the premises, setting it at a level not higher than + 19 ° C. Reducing the air temperature in residential premises by one degree saves about five percent of the cost of heating, which in the long run represents significant savings,” the release says.
According to the decree, in the period from October 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023, the manager of the residential building will have to ensure the appropriate parameters of the heating system so that the air temperature in the apartments does not exceed +19 °C. In this case, the minimum temperature cannot be lower than +18°C.
