The two new laptops are designed, according to Lenovo, for small and medium-sized businesses. Compared to the previous generation improves the screen / body ratio, which now reaches 85%, and for the first time in the E series, fingerprint scanners (integrated in the power button) and an optional infrared camera with eye tracking technology via software developed by Mirametrix debut. The software, which is called Glance, allows you to automatically lock the laptop if the user moves away, and offers some optimizations in multi-monitor use scenarios.
On board there are also Harman speakers with support a Dolby Audio, and dual wide-range microphones for the best possible quality during video conferencing. The keyboard has shortcuts to Microsoft Teams and Skype Business. Finally, there is an optional module for Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
The two laptops will be available from June 2020; the list prices of the basic configurations will be of $ 639. We currently have no information for Europe or Italy.
