There are more and more alternatives to cigarettes. Tobacco heating systems, the most famous of which is IQOS, are very popular. Now Philip Morris introduces another device – lil SOLID 2.0.
Philip Morris International introduces lil SOLID 2.0 to Poland – a new tobacco heating system
This one-piece tobacco heating device does not smell like cigarette smoke and emits a lower concentration of chemicals and potentially harmful substances. It uses induction heating technology, heating the tobacco plug with a heating needle installed in the device. During this process, the cartridge is evenly heated along the entire length of the needle, releasing a nicotine aerosol, but without the unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke. Getting rid of it is the global goal of Philip Morris, which wants to achieve this with devices such as iQOS and lil SOLID 2.0.
Sure, the best way to do that would be to quit smoking, but it’s much easier said than done. Hence, such alternatives are a great thing. Tobacco heating system IQOS, available on 70 markets around the world – over 14.9 million people who quit smoking (as of September 30, 2021). By the end of 2025, PMI aims to reach 40 million users of its smokeless products who would otherwise continue to smoke.

lil SOLID 2.0 – specification
The device weighs 84 grams and is available in two colors – Cosmic Blue and Dark Gray (Stone Gray). When fully charged, it allows you to heat up to 25 tobacco sticks, although here it should be remembered that this number depends on the battery life cycle and the conditions of use. One cartridge heats up to 14 puffs or 5 minutes, and the battery is fully charged in 2 hours.
Of course, as Philip Morris points out:
lil SOLID 2.0 it is not a risk-free product. As a result of heating the tobacco, the device emits an aerosol with nicotine, which is a highly addictive substance. In the case of people who use nicotine products, the best choice is always to quit the addiction completely. For people who don’t, switching to a smokeless alternative to cigarette is a better decision than continuing to smoke.
