Londoner Azimo operates XRP with ODL from Ripple

The American company Ripple announced that the remittance service ázimo was now using its blockchain solution On Demand Liquidity (ODL) exploiting its cryptocurrency XRP.

On his website, the specialist in blockchain said his solution ODL allowed ázimo "Extend its remittance capabilities" to philippines and soon in other parts of the world.

We have long been interested in the potential of digital assets like XRP to improve cross-border payments. The solution ODL of Ripple dramatically reduces the cost and time for cross-border transfers, ”said Richard Ambrose, CEO of Azimo.

On Demand Liquidity (ODL) leverages the digital coin XRP and eliminates the need to pre-finance accounts in destination currencies, providing speed of execution and ultra-competitive exchange rates, according to the Californian firm.

Founded in London in 2012, ázimo allows customers to transfer money to 190 countries in 80 currencies. Fintech has raised more than 80 million euros, including recently 20 million euros from the European Investment Bank.

ázimo is the second major remittance service to turn to ODL of Ripple this month. At the beginning of February, Intermex revealed that it was using the solution to open new corridors between the USA and Mexico.
