MOSCOW, 15 Oct — PRIME. European energy regulators have gathered in Washington to discuss a possible reduction in US gas prices, the Euractiv portal reported, citing sources.
Not a single hub. Russia and Turkey will make a stir in the gas market
“European energy regulators are currently in Washington to discuss the energy crisis and lay the groundwork for negotiations to lower the price of gas imported from the United States,” the statement said.
According to the portal, representatives of ten regulators from EU countries, in particular, from France and Germany, arrived in Washington on October 12.
However, the EU Agency for Cooperation between Energy Regulators (ACER) told Euractiv that it did not come to the US capital to “negotiate lower prices for shale gas imported from the US”. According to an ACER representative, this is an event within the framework of “a regular dialogue between US and EU regulators.”
