MediaTek has just unveiled completely new systems for Wi-Fi 6 / 6E connectivity. All of this is part of the MediaTek Filogic family, which delivers reliable connectivity, high computing power, and a rich feature set in highly integrated, energy-efficient designs. These new chips include both the Filogic 830 Wi-Fi 6 / 6E SoC and the Filogic 630 Wi-Fi 6E NIC chips.
The premiere of MediaTek Filogic
The first is manufactured in a 12nm process and enables other companies to design a variety of connectivity hardware (from routers to access points). It is built by a total of four Arm Cortex-A53 processors operating at a frequency of up to 2 GHz and supporting dual 4 × 4 6 / 6E Wi-Fi up to 6 Gb / s, two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and many peripheral interfaces.

In turn, Filogic 630 is a new dimension of Wi-Fi 6 / 6E connectivity in the form of a NIC. Supports dual-band concurrent connectivity like: 2×2 2,4 GHz i 3×3 5 GHz or 6 GHz up to 3 Gb / s, as well as the unique 3T3R 5/6 GHz system with internal front-end modules (FEM).

In both cases, there are devices at stake that will increase the potential for the development of the Wi-Fi network, and very good. Devices using Wi-Fi 6 connections on the 6 GHz band are designed to use wide 160 MHz channels and unlimited bandwidth on the 6 GHz band to provide multi-gigabit Wi-Fi with low latency and reliable connectivity for applications such as streaming, gaming, AR / VR and more.
