Minimum and Recommended Requirements (Core i7-9700 + GeForce RTX 3060 Ti + 32GB RAM)

ICARUS

RocketWerkz revealed the minimum and recommended requirements of your strategy game ICARUS, and they are demanding, at least in terms of RAM memory, since at least it is asking 16 GB, while the recommended are 32 GB, although yes, today 16 GB is the standard.

ICARUS is a session PvE survival game for up to eight players in solo or co-op mode.

Support the wild alien nature of Icarus, humanity’s biggest mistake. Survive your brutal environment as you explore, harvest, craft, and hunt for your fortune.

From their orbiting space station, prospectors descend to the planet’s surface in limited-time sessions, learning how to survive the alien environment, complete faction missions, and search for valuable exotic materials. The lucky ones who live to tell the tale return to orbit as veterans to transform exotic materials into advanced technology and undertake even more risky descents with newly acquired knowledge. Those who are left behind … are lost forever.

There was a day when Icarus was destined to be the second Earth, but, when the terraforming failed, the air became toxic and killed humanity’s hopes of colonizing a new world. Icarus became a parody, a symbol of humanity’s failure to reach the stars. However, when xenobiologists discovered the cause of the failure, the exotic matter, it sparked new interest. These priceless “exotics” sparked a gold rush that exacerbated political tensions on Earth and attracted large numbers of seekers to Icarus.

Face and conquer a brutal world of PvE ready to exhaust you or destroy you.

Its toxic atmosphere, wildlife, and damaging weather events make it clear that Icarus is a planet with temperament. Preparation and planning are essential, whether it’s setting up a shelter, finding a source of oxygen, stalking your next dinner, or stockpiling supplies for a journey to uncharted lands.

Immerse yourself in a seemingly familiar, but alien world.

Prospectors from the First Entourage received initial mining licenses to explore more than 40 square kilometers of man-made terrain filled with hidden nooks and crannies, resources to mine, and biomes to explore. Use the resources around you to survive: in each tree you can find something, in each rock there is a voxel to extract.

Master the three individual Tech Trees: Planetary Tech, Talents, and Orbital Workshop.

Use the planet’s resources to create tools, structures and machines that protect you and help you on your mission. Develop unique abilities and upgrade your core talents as you gain experience on the surface of the planet. Then return to orbit with rare exotic materials to create advanced technology. Choose the skills you want to develop on your next descent and the technology you want to obtain to complete missions faster, travel further, automate production, or increase your chances of survival. Each of your decisions has an impact.

There is a time limit to be in Icarus, so never lose sight of the clock and take advantage of every second.

You can choose between sessions that last hours, days or weeks. But be careful, if you don’t get to your dropship in time to return to your orbiting space station, no one will come to your rescue. Or give yourself time to build a permanent planetary outpost. Each descent has a clear goal and a time limit, but overcoming the challenges is up to you.

Your character is everything.

Learn the peculiarities of the atmosphere, challenge yourself to face new threats and force yourself to step out of your comfort zone. Those who are cautious will survive, but the brave will prosper. New exotic talents, technology and materials are available for those who dare to take the risk. Will you face Icarus with your head held high?

ICARUS is the brainchild of a team of RocketWerkz survival game veterans creating it in beautiful Auckland, New Zealand.
