MSI registers its B550 motherboards with the EEC, revealing five models

Although the B550 chipset has been official for a few weeks, the first motherboards based on this chipset will arrive on the market on June 16, so it is still missing to know them. However, thanks to the Eurasian Economic Commission, we got to know some of the models that MSI is preparing.

In a new listing that also involves the Z490 and B460 motherboards, MSI listed the following B550 motherboards:

• MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI
• MPG B550I GAMING EDGE WIFI
• MAG B550M MORTAR WIFI
• B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
• MPG B550 GAMING CARBON WIFI

Although there are no images of these motherboards (Except for the Carbon model thanks to an AMD slide), their names give us some hints on what to expect. All motherboards will support WIFI, as it is explicit in the termination of the five models, and we also see that two models have an M after the chipset name indicating that they will have an M-ATX form factor, and one model has an I, indicating that it will have an M-ITX form factor. The remaining two models will use the usual ATX format.

It will be interesting to see if MSI is also preparing more models not yet registered, since for example there is no B550 Tomahawk, when the B450 Tomahawk was MSI's most successful motherboard with that chipset, leading the company to also launch an X570 Tomahawk after the great success of the B450 model. We will know this next month when these B550 motherboards hit the market.
