MSI last week launched its 400 Series motherboards for the new Comet Lake-S processors, though it appears to have left a couple of surprises unannounced. One of them is MAG Z490 Gaming Carbon EK X, a modified version of the original Carbon that includes a pre-installed EK monoblock.

This motherboard was officially shown by the company On twitter, revealing what the design of this special version looks like. It's pretty much the same motherboard, only the VRM heatsink is removed in favor of an EK-branded monoblock that It not only cools the VRMs but also the CPU.
It is good to see monoblock models that are not top of the range, since they make access to this technology much cheaper than without a doubt helps keep crucial components cool.
