New Athlon 200GE processor from AMD

AMD AThlon

AMD has just announced its first Zen-based Athlon processor. It is the 200GE model that is aimed at less affluent users.

The processor has 2 cores and 4 threads. It was made in a 14 nm manufacturing process. Its clock speed is 3.2 GHz and it does not have a turbo mode. Also, the 200GE doesn’t support overclocking, so you won’t get anything more out of it. The L3 cache has a capacity of 5 MB and the integrated graphics are Radeon Vega 3. The Athlon 200GE is supported by AM4 motherboards and DDR 4 memory. It offers NVMe, 4K and USB 3.1 Gen2 support.

AMD valued its design at $ 55, or about PLN 205. In addition, the 220GE and 240GE models are expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2018, which will also support the aforementioned technologies. The new Athlon will be available for sale from September 18.
