Bitcoin is gradually coming into the mainstream news. Every milestone of the bitcoin course is notified. But the attention is still nothing, compared to the attention that cryptocurrency received at the end of 2017. If it’s up to Netflix, that will soon change.
Rumors confirmed
Earlier this year there were rumors about a new Netflix documentary about altcoins. Photos confirm that this is more than just a rumor. The documentary bears the (provisional) title: The geeks shall inherit the earth.
The rumors started after the official PACcoin Twitter account shared this photo from an interview.

However, the documentary is not only about PACcoin, but they have also interviewed many high-profile founders and inventors of different cryptocurrency. On the documentary makers’ website at least these names are:

- Yi He (Binance)
- Charles Hoskinson (Cardano)

Other crypto projects mentioned are Grecone, Plasma, Decentraland, Ripio and Melonport.
Videopaper
The documentary makers are Benedict and Ania, one an experienced programmer and the other an experienced video journalist. Together they run the media company Decipher Media. The goal is to make a video paper, a visual alternative to white papers.
Over the past ten months, Benedict and Ania have shot more than a hundred hours of material. They describe the documentary as an opportunity to get to know the people behind all the major crypto projects.
