New graphics hidden in AMD drivers

The premiere of new graphics cards from AMD has to approach because more and more information is leaking into the network. This time we got another view of what the company is preparing. New leaks come from drivers on macOS.

They mention the Polaris 10XT2, Polaris 12 and Vega 10. The second graphic suggests the strongest proposition based on this core, but knowing AMD’s nomenclature may not be the case. 12 can only mean that the graphics were designed after older versions and not necessarily more efficient. It is only certain that it will not have HBM2 memory.

The Polaris 10XT2 might be something like the RX 485. AMD itself said that it was planning a second generation of graphics cards, so this theory would fit perfectly. The RX 485 may have simply increased clock speed compared to the RX 480 and fixed or corrected bugs.

And we got to Vega 10. It is actually the first mention of this graphic. The only thing we know about it is that it will have HBM 2 memory and it will fight the GTX 1080. The good news for Mac Pro users may be the fact that it is mentioned in their drivers. Perhaps Apple will introduce computers with Vega 10?
