New Ryzen 5000 Barcelo APU revealed. HP gave bodies with laptops

Thanks to this, we can take a look at what new APU Ryzen 5000 Barcelo is preparing for us by AMD, although focus more on names than the exact specification. Apparently, those manufactured using the 7nm APU process will hit the market in 2022.

The mention of HP laptops indicated three Ryzen 5000 Barcelo APUs

AMD has terribly mixed up the Ryzen 5000 family of both Zen 2 based Lucienne and Zen 3 based Cezanne processors. Fortunately, within the Ryzen 6000 family this will be avoided, and AMD will fix its mistake through the Barcelo family, which will remain in the 5000 series, offering for exactly the same as the Lucienne family on paper. We have known about this for a long time, but today we have a solid confirmation of it.

The above entry on Twitter shows little, because only descriptions of a total of three new HP laptops with APU Ryzen 7 5825U, Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 3 5352U. So you can’t go into details of the specs if you are sure of it, but basing the series on Zen 3 shows what we can expect. Especially that it is a family of -U processors, i.e. those with lower energy consumption (15W), although AMD provides companies with the opportunity to play with clocks so that each manufacturer can adjust the APU’s capabilities to cool a given laptop.

Thus, the three systems mentioned above represent different families, which is directly related to the number of their cores and threads, which are respectively 8/16, 6/12 and 4/8. In the case of the L3, their cache memory is respectively 16, 16 and 8 MB.
