NSA develops quantum-resistant cryptotechnology

The US National Security Agency (NSA) plans to create a quantum-resistant cryptotechnology. The objectives of the project are currently unknown.

According to records On Twitter, William Turton, head of the NSA’s cybersecurity department, Anne Neuberger, said at her 10th annual cybersecurity summit in Billington that her agency is developing a quantum-resilient crypto.

Neuberger’s comment may indicate that the NSA is working on cryptographic technology, not cryptocurrency (PRome. Ed .: in the original, the head announced the development of “crypto”, which can mean both the creation of cryptocurrency and cryptographic technology)

NSA Cybersecurity Office was established
in July and “is responsible for preventing and eradicating threats to US national security systems and the US defense industrial base.” It is expected that it will begin operations on October 1.

Recently, Ecash creator David Chaum announced that he will launch Praxxis cryptocurrency. The Praxxis protocol is also resistant to quantum computing. This means that the protocol can survive the attacks carried out by quantum computers, and Praxxis can be resistant to regular cryptanalysis initiated by hackers and even government agencies.
