Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 gets 24 percent better performance with overclocking

Shortly after extensive performance comparisons in 3DMark between the Geforce GTX 1080 and current top models were leaked online, the figures are supplemented with the graphics card overclocked, and despite an already record-breaking turbo frequency of 1,733 MHz, it turns out that there is plenty of room for more.

With the turbo frequency increased to no less than 2,114 MHz, the graphics card takes a real step up in terms of performance in 3DMark Firestrike. With the settings Performance, Extreme and Ultra combined, it is a performance boost of 24 percent compared to its standard design.

In terms of other non-overclocked graphics cards, the lead is significantly expanded and the advantage over the Geforce GTX Titan X is as much as 57 percent. Against the similarly priced GTX 980 Ti it is about 63 percent and compared to its regular predecessor GTX 980, the performance boost is a massive 110 percent.
