Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti are listed on PriceSpy

Since Nvidia launched the Turing architecture with the Geforce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti models, many enthusiasts have been waiting for new graphics cards in the lower price ranges. This has to some extent happened with the Geforce RTX 2070 and RTX 2060, but the latter is still in a price range around SEK 4,000 or more depending on the model.

The answer to the wishes instead seems to be Geforce GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti, which were recently found on the web and also confirmed by a picture from a presentation. The models on Prisjakt are now also listed, which in turn means that they have appeared in at least one Swedish dealer’s system.

Apart from the names of the two models, no further details appear. Previous information suggests, however, that these are two graphics cards based on the architecture Turing, with a clock frequency of 1,770 MHz for GTX 1660 Ti and 1,785 MHz for GTX 1660 at GPU Boost. The big difference from the RTX 2000 series, in addition to fewer CUDA cores, is expected to be the lack of support for ray tracing in real time.

No launch date is mentioned for the models, but according to previous information, the Geforce GTX 1660 Ti will not be released until February 15 with a price tag of 279 USD, corresponding to 3,200 kronor including VAT. It will be followed by the Geforce GTX 1660 in March, which will have a slightly lower price of 229 USD, corresponding to 2,600 kronor.
