Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Released October 17

Release date of the new video card.

Nvidia just announced the release of the GeForce RTX 2070 on October 17th.

Until now, we knew that Nvidia was going to release its mid-range graphics card sometime in October, but thanks to the official Twitter channel, we know the exact release date for the RTX 2070.

The GeForce RTX 2070 currently remains the most affordable graphics card in the new Nvidia Turing lineup, with a starting price of $ 499 (R33,000) and $ 599 (about R40,000) for The Founder Edition.

In terms of specs, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 will offer 2304 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 video memory. The GPU is also synchronized to a base clock of 1410 MHz, which can rise up to 1620 MHz (plus an additional 90 MHz on the Founders Edition models).

Nvidia has yet to reveal numbers on how the RTX 2070 will compare to its predecessors, the GTX 1070 and GTX 1070 Ti. However, given our experience with the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti, we expect the new Turing GPU to be substantially faster than its predecessor Pascal graphics cards.
