Nvidia releases driver for Fortnite and the Specter vulnerability

Epic Games is perhaps best known for the game series Unreal Tournament and in recent years Gears of War, where the original impressively many graphically at the launch in 2006. Nvidia is now releasing a so-called Game Ready driver for Fortnite, where the latest optimizations and features are on the menu. This includes support for Shadowplay Highlights, an addition to Nvidia’s own screen recording tool.

Other news are Nvidia Freestyle which allows users to load their own effect filters in game titles, as well as notifications when connecting an external GPU. Finally, there will also be measures for Specter variant two, which will allow speculation from a processor branch predictor can no longer be observed.

Nvidia Geforce 390.65 can be downloaded from the company’s website or in the Geforce Experience software.
