Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti will be delayed for a couple of weeks

The mid-range graphics card will appear on December 2.

Nvidia’s RTX 3060 Ti is rumored to be delayed by two weeks, with current reports suggesting the release will take place on December 2nd.

Rumors swirled over the weekend that the Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti could come out in less than three weeks on November 17th. This information was in line with what we had heard about graphics cards previously from Chinese retailers who claimed the RTX 3060 Ti would hit store shelves in mid to late November.

However, a new report courtesy of Expreview, suggests the so-called RTX 3060 Ti won’t see the light of day as early as expected. The publication suggests that the launch will take place on December 2, as Nvidia “postponed” the release by two weeks.

The reason for the delay remains a mystery, although the current situation may be due to the limited stock of GPUs. Rumors suggest that stock levels of the 3060 Ti may be similar to those of the RTX 3080 and the recently released RTX 3070 when it was released, which means getting one of the graphics cards will not be easy.

There is no word yet on when the standard version of the Nvidia RTX 3060 will come out, although rumors point to a next release after the Ti version.

The Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti will receive 4,864 CUDA cores with 8GB of GDDR6 video memory – the same as the RTX 3070. The Ampere GPU appears to be the same as inside the RTX 3070 graphics cards, only in a stripped-down version, according to online reports.

According to the premature product listing of Chinese retailer Taobao, the mid-range Ampere graphics card could be faster than the RTX 2080 from the Turing category.

Despite this performance, the Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti is expected to go on sale for less than $ 400 (RUR 28,000 + VAT) when it eventually goes on sale.
