Nvidia Titan X “Pascal” – Test

In February 2013, Nvidia launched a graphics card called the Geforce GTX Titan, which with the Kepler architecture and graphics circuit GK110 conquered the performance throne with a message. This was followed just over two years later by the GTX Titan X with the architecture Maxwell, which was produced on the same manufacturing technology.

At the launch of the Geforce GTX 1080, it quickly became clear that there was more to be gained, as the Pascal architecture and 16 nanometers delivered huge improvements in terms of energy efficiency. It therefore came as no surprise when Nvidia unveiled a new Titan, however, it came much earlier than many first thought.

The new model is confusingly called Titan X, without the prefix Geforce GTX, and comes with the brand new graphics circuit GP102 with twelve billion transistors and a full 12 GB of GDDR5X memory. Now the third generation Titan has entered the test lab and with the current situation in the graphics card market, there is no doubt that it is the fastest in the world – the question is how fast?
