During the I / O 2022 conference, Google presented a lot of news. The Pixel 7 series, the Pixel Watch smartwatch and the Pixel Tablet have been announced – we will have to wait for the premiere of these devices. However, Pixel 6a also debuted, which has been talked about for a long time. So let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
The new Pixel 6a is a very compact device
Google has equipped its new smartphone with a 6.1-inch AMOLED screen. So if you are looking for a small model, you should pay attention to it. The display offers Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The front panel is protected by Corning Gorilla 3 glass. On the front we find an 8 Mpix selfie camera, and on the back a double module with a 12.2 Mpix main unit (f1.7 with optical image stabilization) and a 12 Mpix ultra wide-angle lens.
It is powered by the proprietary Google – Tensor system in the configuration of 6/128 GB. The battery on the Pixel 6a has a capacity of 4306 mAh and supports 18W fast charging. There were Android 12, stereo speakers, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, HDR support and a built-in fingerprint reader.
When it comes to appearance, the Pixel 6a looks similar to the basic Pixel 6 while maintaining the characteristic appearance of the camera island.
Pre-orders will start on July 21, with official sales starting a week later. Google also announced availability in individual countries and as we could expect – the smartphone will not go to Poland. However, if someone is willing, he can always bring it, for example, from Germany, where it will cost 459 euro (about 2,150 zlotys).
