Polish cryptocurrency exchange Bitmarket closed due to loss of liquidity

The Polish exchange Bitmarket cryptocurrency, the second in terms of trading in the country, suddenly stopped working.

According to a brief report published late on July 8 on the platform’s website, Bitmarket said:

“We regret to inform you that due to the loss of liquidity, from 08.07.2019 Bitmarket.pl/net was forced to cease operations. We will inform you about the next steps. ”

Although it is unclear what exactly caused the “loss of liquidity,” Reddit suggested that the site showed strange behavior in the weeks before the closure.

User Reddit OdoBanks writes that among the “red flags” can be noted forced change of passwords for many users without explaining the reasons, as well as the suspension of money withdrawals due to additional KYC procedures.

At the time of publication in the official Twitter Bitmarket has no closing statements, and data
CoinMarketCap exchange trades were not updated for 11 hours.
