Powercolor Devil 13 – new special with Radeon HD 6970

For those who are not satisfied with reference design, Powercolor releases a new graphics card from high school. The new Devil 13 is based on the familiar Radeon HD 6970 “Cayman XT”, but adds both expanded power supply and more powerful cooling to reach higher clock frequencies.

The new graphics card contains 1,536 stream processors that spin at 880 MHz and 2 GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit memory bus at 5,500 MHz. Thanks to an extra “OC Bios”, the clock frequencies can go up to 960 and 5,700 MHz respectively already from the factory. Overclockers are given extra turning space with 12-phase power supply, Direct FET and NEC Proadlizer.

The radiator is an extended colossus with two 92 mm fans and four extra thick (8 mm) copper heat pipes. For extra spice to life, a red / black color theme and LEDs that indicate the graphics card’s load can be seen.

Last but not least, the Powercolor Devil 13 can handle up to four screens via Eyefinity. There are two DVI connections, as many Mini Displayports and one HDMI. For some reason, screwdrivers are also included in the package.

Price and sales start are not yet known.
