Prevent Microsoft Edge from opening automatically when Windows 11 PC starts
Microsoft Edge Browser is the best and improved Internet Explorer update that Microsoft released during 2015. If someone is not running Microsoft Edge browser by default and it still opens every time they turn on their laptop, then it can be really annoying. To avoid this, we have found 2 different solutions in this article on how to prevent Microsoft Edge from opening automatically on Windows 11 PC.
Method 1: Uncheck the option ‘Automatically save my restartable apps’
Paso 1: Opened Settings app
press To win key on your keyboard and type Settings.
Click Settings application of search results.
Paso 2: On the settings page
Click on Accounts in the left panel and
Then select Login options As shown below.
Paso 3: On the login options page
Click Automatically save my restartable apps and restart them when I log in again toggle button to turn it off as shown in the given screenshot.

Method 2: use Registry Editor
NOTE: Grab a copy of the Registry before proceeding so that if something goes wrong you can reverse it at any time.
Paso 1: Open Registry Editor
press Win + R keys together on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
Writes regedit in the Run box.
Catch Get into wrench.
Paso 2: In Registry Editor
Copy and paste the following path into the address bar and press Get into wrench.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoft
Paso 3: In the left pane of Registry Editor
Right click on Microsoft and select New > Wrench.
Paso 4: Rename the key to MicrosoftEdge.
Then right click MicrosoftEdge and select New > Wrench.
Repeat it again to create another key below MicrosoftEdge.
Paso 4: Now there are two keys below MicrosoftEdge.
Rename «New key no. 1” What Principal and “New key no. 2” What TabPreloader.
Paso 5: Then right-click Main.
Click on Nuevo> Valor DWORD (32 bits) of the list.
Paso 6: Then rename this DWORD value as AllowPrelaunch.
Double click on the AllowPrelaunch and enter the value data as 0.
Click OK apply and close.
Paso 7: Right-click on the TabPreloader key below MicrosoftEdge.
Then go to Nuevo> Valor DWORD (32 bits).
Paso 8: Rename it to AllowTabPreloading.
Double click on AllowTabPreloading and change the value to 0.
Catch Get into wrench.
After completing these steps, restart your system and the Microsoft Edge browser will not appear during system startup.
