MOSCOW, 18 Oct – PRIME. The death of the so-called “green agenda” for Europe is obvious against the backdrop of the unfolding confrontation with Russia, Senator Alexei Pushkov said on his Telegram channel.
Pushkov predicted a test of the EU course to reduce fuel imports from Russia
The current confrontation, in his words, the “ice war”, has left the confrontation of the “cold war” period far behind. Under these conditions, all the talk about green energy in the face of the loss of Russian oil and Russian gas is nothing more than demagogy, the senator emphasized.
He cited as an example the news about how German Chancellor Olaf Scholz decided to extend the operation of nuclear power plants in the country.
“It is impossible to abandon Russian energy resources and try to move along the green path,” Pushkov commented.
