Putin and Erdogan instructed to work out the creation of a gas hub in Turkey
MOSCOW, 13 Oct – PRIME. Turkey reacted positively to the proposal to create a new gas hub on its territory, said the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
Putin and Erdogan discussed the creation of a gas hub in Turkey
“There was a very positive reaction, an interested reaction,” he said on the sidelines of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.
According to Peskov, Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan instructed to work out in detail and quickly the possibilities for implementing this initiative.
Putin and Erdogan held talks in Astana, during which the head of the Russian Federation told his colleague about the idea of creating a gas hub in Turkey to sell gas to third countries and determine prices.
The proposal was developed within the framework of the Russian Energy Week. Speaking at the forum, Putin said that Russia could move gas transit from Nord Stream to the Black Sea region and Turkey.
