Putin clarified how payments for gas supplies to China will be made
MOSCOW, 7 Sep — PRIME. The share of the ruble and yuan in payments for Russian gas supplies to China will be 50 to 50, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum.
About sanctions, currency and inflation. Putin spoke at the WEF plenary session
“I would like to note that yesterday Gazprom and its Chinese partners decided to switch to the ruble and yuan in a 50/50 ratio when paying for gas supplies,” he said.
On Monday, Gazprom and China’s CNPC agreed to convert payments for Russian gas supplies to China into rubles and yuan.
The VII Eastern Economic Forum takes place on September 5-8 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) on Russky Island. This year the event is held under the motto “Towards a multipolar world”.
