This reference Qualcomm drone with 5G is the first UAV equipment to support 5G connectivity and you can see its appearance above. It features a Qualcomm Spectra 480 chip that can capture 200 megapixel photos and 8K video at 30 frames per second, as well as 4K at 120 FPS with HDR support.

On the performance side, the Flight RB5 5G platform uses the QRB5165 chip, based on the Snapdragon 865 SoC and combining the Kryo 585 central processor with the Adreno 650 GPU. The Hexagon Tensor Accelerator within the Hexagon 698 DSP system is responsible for AI calculations.

Such a connection allows this reference drone to support 5G connectivity, including the mmWave bands and signals with a frequency below 6 GHz and Wi-Fi 6.
