Launching a product and promising copies in the store only at a later time does not go home among the avid enthusiasts. AMD’s paper launch of the Radeon HD 7970 was criticized by virtually all reviewers, but now the graphics card maker promises cure and improvement.
The launch of the slimmed-down cousin Radeon HD 7950 is postponed from January to sometime in February. The reason for the changed date is said to be that AMD wants to make sure that this time there are graphics cards in the market on the launch day.
However, the new date does not affect the start of sales for the flagship Radeon HD 7970, which is still on 9 January.
