Radeon RX 6000 increasingly expensive, but even the GeForce RTX 3000 are not joking: new data on shortage
The semiconductor shortage is destined to last a long time and prices of video cards will continue to remain at high levels for a long time, then the new 3DCenter on the prices of the main retailers in Austria and Germany it shows no surprises, on the contrary if possible it paints an even more gray picture.
On average, the prices of the latest generation video cards from AMD and NVIDIA are slightly higher than in September, with solutions GeForce RTX 3000 72% more expensive with respect to the MSRP (the list price communicated by the producers) and the Radeon RX 6000 83% more expensive. In the case of AMD, the rise in prices started in July, after a period of decline that had led to an increase in the list only (so to speak) of 53%.
As for NVIDIA GPUs, the + 50% of August on the list represents the lowest value in recent months. Since then, the price has steadily risen up to + 72% recorded in the October report. According to 3DCenter, albeit in the face of a slight improvement in availability, prices did not respond as expected.

Radeon RX 6800 and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti are the most difficult cards to find according to the analysis and consequently the AMD card is the one that sees the greatest increase from the end of August to today, while in the case of NVIDIA it is the RTX 3080 the one that undergoes the heaviest price increase, together with the RTX 3080 Ti.
