Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards weaker than rumored. Updated unofficial specs

The Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards will actually be weaker than previously rumored, according to the latest information provided by the well-known “pre-release informants” Twitter user Greymon55.

According to the new information, Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards will be less efficient

The decrease in the capabilities of individual cores is huge, because according to the latest information, the flagship Navi 31 graphics processor will offer not 15360, but 12288 Stream Processor computing units. This will limit it to 6 shaders, 12 arrays and thus 48 Work Group Processors, which will translate into a decrease in SM by ~ 20%, which will reduce the performance from 92 to 73 TFLOPS while maintaining the previous clock rate at 3 GHz.

Moving on, the weaker Navi 32 GPU is expected to have 8192 stream processors instead of 10240, and the Navi 33 “only” 4096, and not the previously announced 5192. Such cuts to previous information suggest that either the details of individual computing units so far were incorrect or in fact Greymon55 has now provided the world with a suitably limited GPU intended for the mobile market. However, this is only speculation at the moment.
