Radeons RX 7000 will reach for cores from RX 6000? AMD will play recycling

According to the latest unofficial information from the user Greymon55 on Twitter, which is slowly starting to conquer the scene of “leakers”, AMD will reach for the cores from the current generation of Radeons and they will power specific Radeons RX 7000.

According to the latest information, the Radeons RX 7000 will reach for the refreshed Navi 2X cores

Let’s start with the fact that the Radeon RX 7000 will be unique in the scale of the entire graphics market. They will reach for the RDNA3 architecture and thus the first MCM cores for AMD, abandoning one silicon matrix in favor of two connected together in one package.

Apparently, the increase in performance is so high that it will certainly generate many gaps in AMD’s offer, and therefore, to help with this a bit, the company is to use the cores from the previous ones in its new cards. We are talking exactly about two GPUs – Navi 22 and Navi 23 with 2560 and 2048 stream processors, which are supposed to be refreshed using a lower, 6 nm, not 7 nm technological process. Cards equipped with them would occupy the lowest performance segments.

This makes AMD base the most efficient Radeon RX 7000 on the Navi 33, Navi 32 and Navi 31 cores with 5120, 10240 and 15360 stream processors, respectively. Are we the only ones seeing the huge SM number split between these cores, which is just asking for filling?
