Recover a group of closed tabs will appear in Google Chrome

In April 2021, Chrome Canary, an experimental developer browser, added the ability to restore tab groups via browsing history. Most of Canary’s innovations go through a testing phase, after which they are transferred to the main version of the Google Chrome browser.

In the fall of 2020, the developers at Google added the ability to group tabs to their browser. This is an essential tool that is primarily required by active browser users. This function allows you to combine tabs by topic or purpose, which greatly facilitates navigation within the browser. The only problem that Google Chrome users have encountered is that if you accidentally close such a group, it is very difficult to restore the content, since the tabs are not displayed in the browsing history.

The developers plan to eliminate this shortcoming in the near future. In a recent version of the Chrome Canary web browser, closed tab groups appeared in your browsing history, and the process of restoring them takes only a few seconds. In this case, not a separate tab is restored, but the entire closed group.

At the moment, the innovation is available exclusively in the latest versions of Chrome Canary.
