Documentation, video card, 2 caps for the system unit.

Appearance

The MSI GeForce GT 710 video card for a month of work has shown itself well, works smoothly, without freezes. Was packed in a pretty box.

The video card itself was additionally in a bag and in some cardboard boxes, for better safety.

The card was bought to work on an office computer, the appearance of the card is standard. Naturally, she does not have cooling and no additional power supply either.

I liked that it is very compact, and lately we have been buying small system units into which you can screw something. The set included plugs for the system unit – 2 pieces, but I did not find a use for them, so they flew into the trash heap.

The video card has VGA, HDMI, DVI-D outputs. They were originally neatly closed with caps.

Installation and connection

Installation of the video card is very simple, although the system unit was small – it fit well there. To connect, it is enough to unscrew the lid of the system unit, I also had to unscrew the bar so that a hole appeared in the back of the system unit for our future outputs.

The video card was originally bought to demonstrate the desktop on two monitors, the built-in one did not allow this.

After installing the video card, you need to connect the video cable to it and turn on the computer. All the icons on the desktop are huge, you need to install the video driver, I do this using the Driver Booster 6 program (it has a free version) – it finds all the drivers that need and do not need to be installed, I also updated all the outdated ones.

After updating the drivers, restart the computer, and if the resolution has not changed, right-click on the desktop, then the screen resolution and set the one you need (I have 1920×1080). This completes the setup, the icons will return to their normal size. If you need to connect a second monitor, connect the second cable and the monitor to the video card slot. Then click on the desktop again – the screen resolution and in the field of several screens select either “expand these screens” (and you will have 2 desktops, used for demonstrating events), or “duplicate these screens” and a copy of your desktop will be on another monitor.

Comparison

Before purchasing this card, “Intel Sandy Bridge-DT GT1 – [D2/J1/Q0] [ECS EliteGroup Computer] Intel HD Graphics 2000, 801244 KB “- compared to the new one, this did not pull anything, inserting a video into a presentation required dancing with tambourines and a lot of time, with the MSI GeForce GT 710 video card, everything became much faster.

Also, on my computer, you can now work in Photoshop CS6, everything loads fine, the changes in the edited photo are immediately visible, before it was necessary to wait 5-10 seconds for the changes to take effect. The video card was purchased only to work in office programs, to duplicate the screen on the 2nd monitor. In PowerPoint, Paint, Photosop CS6, MovaviVideoSuite, the computer has become faster to work than before.

conclusions

The MSI GeForce GT 710 Silent LP 1Gb video card was generally quite good, bought it for 3,500 rubles, now the price has risen to 4,199 rubles (although this is already too expensive for it). Does not blunt, does not slow down. I have been using it for over a month now, screen duplication works great. I did not identify any drawbacks in this model, it works and it’s okay. I also tried to launch some old toys, such as: GTA Vice City, Darksiders, Portal – they go, they just go without brakes =)))
