It looks like we’ve been waiting more than a year for the premiere of the Pro version of the Grit X smartwatch from Polar, which debuted in April 2020. Today, its improved version in the form of Polar Grit X Pro has hit the market.
Polar showed its new smartwatch – it’s Grit X Pro
Polar Grit X Pro weighs 79 grams, which is 15 grams heavier than the Grit X. He also reached for a sapphire protective glass, not Gorilla Glass over a 1.2-inch, sharp-light display with a resolution of 240 x 240. This one, then, no has changed, as has the built-in rechargeable battery that can last up to 40 hours on a single charge with location and heart rate tracking activated, or up to 100 hours in power saving mode.

On the durability side, Polar Grit X Pro has been tested to confirm its MIL-STD-810G durability standards. These ensure that it can be submerged up to 100 meters under water and will still work. This also applies to temperatures from -20 to over 50 ° C.
In terms of functions, you can count on new route profiles, turn-by-turn navigation, Hill Splitter function, recording ascents and descents, and Track Back mode, showing the way back to the starting point of the activity. There were also traditional smartwatch accessories, i.e. sensors and algorithms to track basic life functions, sleep or energy.

You can buy the Grit X Pro in three color options for $ 499.90, to which you can add another 100 if you want a version with a titanium housing, providing a weight reduction of 12%. This one should be popular, as in the world of traditional high-end watches, the sapphire protective glass and the titanium case are an inseparable duo for years.
