South Korean giant Kakao will launch a Klip wallet this year

The South Korean giant Kakao, who owns the eponymous messenger, is preparing to launch its own Klip cryptocurrency wallet.

“Klip wallet has already launched an advertising site, and the application itself should appear in the second half of this year,” the company’s official told News1 Korea.

It is reported that the program is being developed by the Kakao blockchain unit called Ground X. The wallet will support the Klay messenger token, as well as other cryptocurrencies created on the Klaytn blockchain. Recall that the main network of this blockchain was launched at the end of June.

The news was also confirmed by HintChain, which created the blockchain market for food.

“Kakao’s cryptocurrency wallet advertising site has been launched today, and we are pleased to announce that we are an affiliate service for the new product,” the company said in a statement.

Interestingly, according to Kakao representatives, the Klaytn blockchain is 15 times faster than the Ethereum blockchain. If on the Ethereum network blocks are created every 15 seconds, then in the Klaytn blockchain they are mined every second.
