Super Sub allows you to conquer the sea depths with a small dose of adrenaline

The Dutch company U-Boat Worx has just unveiled its latest creation in the form of Super Sub, the price of which we do not know, but which will certainly be as expensive as many superyachts. It will hit the market in 2023 as a unique consumer submarine, although it was originally created as a custom-made gem.

Conquering the sea depths by “ordinary people” in a pleasant, warm cabin requires solid equipment. Even efficient electric drives are not able to provide especially high speeds, which is why this market has accustomed everyone to a maximum speed of several kilometers per hour. That’s why U-Boat Worx decided to go a step further and provided the Super Sub with the ability to cruise at a speed of as much as 14.8 km / h. This is supposed to be enough to keep step płetw dolphin.

The Super Sub owes this to a 60 kW drive system, i.e. 80 horsepower, and a hydrodynamic structure with a three-seater cabin, the center of which is reduced to the cabin in the form of an acrylic bulb for two. On the side of the on-board systems, there was also an automatic course and depth control, or a controller that allows you to manipulate the on-board load so as to ascend or immerse completely in a vertical position.

It is powered by a 62-kWh set of batteries, which is said to provide durability up to 8 hours after charging to 100%. If something goes wrong, the life support system in the cabin will last at least 96 hours, which the unfortunate will have to spend at a depth of no more than 300 meters.
