Tesla is cutting costs by ending with the reference program

In his marketing machine, Tesla came up with a great idea, under which car owners of this company could recommend their friend to get additional benefits. Now, however, Elon Musk has announced that this initiative will end on February 1.

All probably to cut costs, which certainly required a large financial outlay given the constantly growing number of owners of Tesla electric cars. The reference program itself has undergone quite a lot of changes, and in the still, although not long in force, form, it provided each “recommended” with six months of free charging at supercharger stations.

The Tesla customer referral program will end on Feb 1. If you want to refer a friend to buy a Tesla & give them 6 months of free Supercharging, please do so before then.

However, we have to congratulate the company on the approach to this topic, because instead of burning out at the end of the program overnight, it informed about it practically 2 weeks before implementing the changes. This will likely push some customers to accelerate their purchase, but that’s not the only thing behind Tesla’s decision. The company is currently cutting costs to replicate the success in terms of Q3 revenue in line with the “make everything perfect” strategy.
