Health!
The market for components specially designed for mini-ITX boxes is growing lately, Silverstone is a major player with excellent boxes and power supplies designed to allow for fairly muscular configurations. Today I’m going to present their latest addition, the SX700-LPT power supply! On the program an SFX-L format, a power of 700 Watts and an 80Plus Platinum certification which is going well, it is quite simply the power supply of this format the most powerful on the market, it could be interesting for those having really a big configuration.
Offered at a price of around 175 € it is clear that it is not cheap, but is aimed at a niche market, let’s see what it has in its belly!
On the front panel there is a photo of the beast with of course the model, the logo of the brand, the format of the power supply (SFX-L) and the logo of the 80Plus Platinum certification.
The rear is rather loaded, a graphic on the performance, another for ventilation, flat cables etc. In addition to that a listing of the strengths of the beast is present, and in 10 different languages please!
On the edge we find the technical characteristics, a table of the power distribution as well as a listing of the connectors available, at least we know everything there is to know before the purchase.
When opening you fall on a thick foam that contains the power supply unit and another compartment containing the modular cables, the transport should not pose the slightest problem.
In addition to the modular cables and the power supply Silverstone provides a power cord, 4 screws and the various manuals, it cannot be said that there is a plethora of things here, but it is a power supply and the essential is there!
