Test zasilacza be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W CM

Be quiet! recently presented new power supplies from the Pure Power series. We managed to get one sample for testing, so I invite you to see if it is worth investing in.

Appearance

As standard, the power supply has been packed in a black package. Together with it, we receive an instruction, screws, power cable, cable ties and additional cables. The power supply is semi-modular, so extra cables are the norm. The other additions are standard and do not raise any objections. The warranty is 5 years.

Pure Power 11 500W CM looks very good. It is all black, only the border under the grill is orange. The PSU measures 160 mm x 150 mm x 86 mm and weighs 2.05 kg. The grill has horizontal stripes to ensure better work culture and airflow than standard structures. On the back there are honeycomb holes, cable entry and a switch. The power supply works with voltages in the range from 100 to 240 Vac. On the right side, the manufacturer has placed a nameplate. The power supply has two + 12V lines that are capable of delivering 480W (2x 20 A). The + 5V line can give 15A, and the + 3.3V line can give 24A (120W in total). Pure Power 11 500W CM has a peak power of 550W.

As I mentioned, the power supply is semi-modular. Directly from it comes one ATX 20 + 4 pin (550 mm) and one CPu 4 + 4 pin (600 mm) harness. The following bundles can be attached to it: two PCI-E 6 + 2 pin (500 mm), one 2x SATA + Molex + FDD (500 mm to the first plug, the distance between the following is 150 mm), one SATA + 2x Molex (500 mm to the first plug, the distance between the next ones is 150 mm) and one 3x SATA (500 mm to the first plug, the distance between the next ones is 150 mm). The harnesses coming from the power supply are round and braided with flexible material. The others have a flat profile. I assess their number and length positively. They enjoy mixed bundles that will allow multiple devices to be connected to just one cable.

Interior

The 120 mm QF1-12025-MS fan is responsible for cooling. Its maximum speed is 980 RPM (although it writes 1600 RPM on the fan) and the volume is 18.8 dBA. The interior itself was made very well. Pure Power 11 500W CM has an active PFC and a DC-DC converter. The largest capacitor has the following parameters: 420V and 270uF. It can operate at temperatures up to 85 ° C and was made by Teapo. The applied protections are as follows: OVP (protection against over-voltage at the output), OCP (protection against stabilizer overload), UVP (protection against low voltage at the output), SCP (short-circuit protection), OTP (protection against overheating of the power supply) and OPP (overload protection).

Test platform

Tests and summary

The power supply performs very well in the tests. Each line is close to the ideal, especially under load. So electronics works very well. Pure Power 11 500W CM is also inaudible when idle and quiet under load. It is certified with 80 Plus Gold. For a 10% load, the efficiency is 86.48%, for 20% – 89.85%, 50% – 90.64%, and for 100% – 87.77%. So it will ensure low power consumption from the socket.

Be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W CM costs about PLN 330. So far, it is not available in Polish stores, but this should change soon. The power supply is definitely recommendable. It is well made and has modular and thoughtful wiring. The power supply also performs brilliantly in the tests. The tensions under load are close to the ideal and it is quiet. Be quiet definitely achieved this design.
