The award-winning MyEye Pro helps blind and visually impaired people in their daily hardships

Technology is able to overcome many limitations of our body and “fix” what has been irretrievably lost. A great example of this is the awarded at CES 2022 MyEye Pro, the successor of the Eye gadget for mounting on glasses, which helps the blind and visually impaired in the daily hardships of life.

OrCam presented its unique MyEye Pro device at CES 2022

As a successor to the OrCam Eye, the Pro version is a major upgrade to the original. It has a faster processor, an additional microphone (2 in total), a larger battery, or a better designed mount for glasses frames. All this translates into a significant improvement in performance in terms of speed and efficiency, which is key to ensuring user freedom of action.

No wonder that OrCam won an award for its MyEye Pro in both the CES Innovation Accessibility and Health and Wellness categories. This gadget is mounted on the glasses and after the initial setup, it uses it as a voice assistant. It helps blind and visually impaired people by reading text, recognizing people, identifying products and much more.

If you associate MyEye with the original version, then in this new version the most important new feature is “Smart Reading”, which searches for specific information. The improved variant also has a voice assistant that recognizes speech and can activate the face recognition function by command, or read a page in books, newspapers and restaurant menus.
