The Deep Rock Galactic edition about space gnome engineers has many times exceeded the developers' expectations

An entertaining project Deep Rock Galactic, in which a group of gnome engineers need to engage in their usual activities – to collect materials and create something useful from them – has reached the next “round” mark for the number of copies sold. According to information from developers from Ghost Ship Games, their creation has sold two million copies as of last night.

It is important to note that despite the fact that the game in the Early Access format has existed since 2018, massive sales came to it only after the release from this very early access in the spring of last year: sales for 2020 almost three times exceeded sales for 2019. However, one should not forget that a significant (if the main) role in these statistics was played by the factor of pandemic and self-isolation, when video games became the only entertainment for people. The developers decided not to mention this factor.
