The European premiere of the Samsung Galaxy M22

Without announcements or warnings, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy M22 model to Europe, the latest smartphone from the Galaxy M family. We know what it has to offer, but prices and availability remain a mystery.

Samsung Galaxy M22 – specification

A new member of the Galaxy M family, the Galaxy M22, has appeared on the German side of Samsung. Its European debut does not yet reveal prices and availability details, but it does not prevent us from looking at the specifications of this low-end model.

The Galaxy M22 is equipped with a Super AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.5 inches, HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. We can therefore be calm about the quality of the displayed image, although in terms of resolution it could have been a bit better. On the front panel you will also find a 13 Mpix selfie camera placed in a U-shaped notch.

If we are already at the photographic possibilities of this smartphone, we find a quadruple camera configuration on the back. It consists of a 48 Mpix main unit (f / 2.0), an 8 Mpix ultra wide-angle lens (f / 2.2), a 2 Mpix macro lens (f / 2.4) and a 2 Mpix depth measurement eye (f / 2.4). In terms of photos or video recording, you can expect really decent quality.

The device will drive a processor, which the manufacturer’s website unfortunately does not specify. Fortunately, this is where benchmark tests come in handy, which revealed that it is to be SoC MediaTek helio G80 supported by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in memory. Users will be able to expand it with a microSD memory card up to 1 TB. Unfortunately, there is no support for the 5G network here, but NFC is also present. There’s also a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports charging with a power of 25W.

The Galaxy M22 is available in three colors – black, white and blue. We will have to wait for the price of the smartphone.
