The Galaxy S22 will get a smaller battery than the Galaxy S21

It looks like Samsung has no intention of enlarging the battery life of its flagship smartphones. Ba! The latest reports indicate that the Galaxy S22 will offer a much smaller capacity than its predecessors.

But let’s check what it looks like. The S22 model is to receive a cell with a capacity of 4800 mAh, which means a capacity decrease by 200 mAh compared to its direct predecessor. The Galaxy S22 + will have a battery smaller by 300 mAh than the S21 +, i.e. 4500 mAh. Only in the Ultra model the capacity will remain unchanged. What about loading speed? There is talk of 65W, which is definitely a plus, especially when we think about the power supported by the latest foldable smartphones.

Of course, the alleged capacity of the Galaxy S22 series models is still quite decent. However, it would seem that manufacturers should strive to extend the working time of smartphones, not to reduce them.
