MOSCOW, 18 Oct – PRIME. The Russian government has ordered an auction for the Baikal oil and gas block, partly located in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, in 2022, according to a document signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and published on the official portal of legal information.

“To hold an auction in 2022 for the right to use the Baikal subsoil plot of federal significance, located on the territory of the Sakhalin Region and partly in the Baikal Bay of the Sea of ​​​​Okhotsk, for the geological study of the subsoil, exploration and production of minerals, carried out under a combined license,” the government decree says. .

It states that there is hydrocarbon raw material in the subsoil area of ​​986 square kilometers. The minimum payment for a plot is 95,953,771 rubles. Recoverable oil reserves and resources listed on the balance of mineral reserves as of January 1, 2021 amount to 0.012 million tons in category C1, 0.098 million tons in category C2, 4.743 million tons in category D0.

Forecast oil resources within the site as of January 1, 2017 are 6.4 million tons in category Dl, 0.3 million tons in category D1; gas – 7.4 billion cubic meters in category D1, 2.5 billion cubic meters in category D2; condensate – 0.3 million tons in category D1.
