Honda Aircraft Company unveiled its latest creation to the world both in mockup and online at the NBAA in Las Vegas, revealing the details that make the HondaJet 2600 passenger jet unique.
The HondaJet 2600 jet is just a concept, but after converting to the production version, it is still supposed to impress
The HondaJet 2600 is being touted as a next-generation light business jet that will be able to fly the United States from one far end to the other without landing. However, it is not a completely new plane, and the evolution of existing projects improved with the latest technologies. Compared to its predecessors, it is over 3 meters longer, has a more magnificent wingspan, twice as much luggage space and almost twice as much range.

However, it has the same composite fuselage, Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM) configuration and Natural Laminar Flow (NLF) technology on the wings and nose of the fuselage. Details of the engines and other upgrades have not been released, but the company says the new jet will have a range of 4,861 km, a cruising speed of 833 km / h and an operating ceiling of 14,000 meters.

But what’s most important is the numbers that compare the HondaJet 2600 to a classic mid-size jet. In relation to it, it is to be 40% more economical and generate 20% less emissions than a typical light jet. All this with up to 10 passengers on board with a cabin available in three different configurations. Although there is a co-pilot position in the cockpit, the airplane can only be piloted by one pilot thanks to advanced automated systems.
