MOSCOW, 20 Oct – PRIME. The Ministry of Digital Transformation will be forced to stop the implementation of the program to connect schools to Wi-Fi, said the head of the department, Maksut Shadayev.
“The programs that we are forced to suspend are Wi-Fi in schools,” he said in the State Duma.
According to him, nine thousand schools are currently connected to the wireless network. The Ministry of Digital Development agreed with Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov on a possible return to the program after analyzing its work.
“Let’s see how the practice is used, work out these points and return to the consideration of this issue,” Shadayev said.
At the end of August, the Ministry of Education banned the use of mobile phones in the classroom.
