Earlier this month, BlackBerry discontinued support for all of its classic phones. Meanwhile, we hear again about the launch of the BlackBerry 5G smartphone, which the company already mentioned last year.
Onward Mobility, which is licensed to introduce BlackBerry brand phones, has revealed that it will launch new and innovative BlackBerry 5G phones in 2021. As we well know – it did not happen, but the hearing about the device has not been lost, because the update has just been released. In a blog post, Onward Mobility said 2021 was so difficult for the company that it couldn’t bring a new phone to market.
Various issues led to this decision, but that doesn’t mean plans for a new device have been put aside. Later this year, we are to get an “ultra-secure 5G smartphone for enterprises”. It will come with a keyboard for better productivity. Unfortunately, we did not receive more information, so the specification of the device is unknown. So it remains to wait for the next news about BlackBerry 5G.
