The president of SpaceX, the world-famous Elon Musk, announced that the progress in the launch of Falcon 9 reusable rockets with Starlinks is going in the right direction. Therefore, “it expects more than 4,200 Starlink satellites to become operational in the next 18 months, which will be approximately 2/3 of all active satellites on Earth.” The company has approval to launch 12,000 more satellites (currently in orbit there are 2,000 of them) and has asked the FCC to launch an additional 30,000.

On the one hand, it will be a bane for astronomers who constantly complain about Starlinki, and on the other hand, it will significantly expand the limits of the current satellite Internet access offered by the company.
